Head of Agency

Paul is a graduate of Harper Adams Agricultural College and joined Whirledge & Nott in 2005, becoming a director in 2014. 

Paul heads up the Agency team at Whirledge & Nott and his experience across a wide range of land, property and development transactions is invaluable and of significant benefit to our clients.  He is the Secretary of the Essex Agricultural Valuers Association. Paul lives in Little Baddow with his wife and is very active as a Trustee of Essex Scouts and Danbury Scouts.

Head of Dispute Resolution

Jeremy was formerly a Partner with Bidwells where he was Head of Valuation and Professional Services.

His expertise includes strategic estate management; valuations for tax, secured lending, sale and purchase; landlord and tenant consultancy including rent reviews and tenancy issues; planning and development and dispute resolution.  He regularly accepts appointments from the RICS and privately to act as an arbitrator or an independent expert to resolve a wide variety of disputes including overage and end of Option payments for residential development, contract farming disputes and the capital and rental value of agricultural, equestrian and residential property and is appointed to sit on the RICS compulsory purchase dispute resolution panel.  He is also an accredited RICS Expert Witness and frequently offers the Court and the parties involved in litigation with his expert opinion on issues of valuation.

When not working he likes to retire to the water’s edge and engage in his passion for fly fishing or follow the fortunes of Harlequins Rugby Club.

Practice Manager

Caroline manages the Whirledge & Nott practice and has a seat on the main board.  Her role is to focus on maintaining quality to the benefit of our clients and oversee the continuing growth of the firm. Caroline was last a partner at a respected regional firm of solicitors.  Her property background and extensive legal knowledge make her perfectly placed for the role.  She lives with her husband and two children in Colchester.

Jess Archer

Associate

Jess graduated from Harpers Adams in 2014 where she was awarded a first-class honours for her dissertation.  She joined Whirledge & Nott in 2015 and provides general practice advice, but specialises in planning, valuations and RPA subsidies.

Jess is an examiner for the Central Association of Agricultural Valuers (CAAV) and is a keen long-distance runner.  

Jess lives in Tiptree with her daughter.

Amy Randall

Property Professional

Amy graduated from the University of Reading with a degree in Real Estate Management and joined Whirledge & Nott in 2017.  She enjoys a varied workload, but specialises in agency and estate management. 

She has a Suffolk farming background and is currently living in central Chelmsford.

In her spare time, Amy is a keen badminton player and bouldering.

Catherine is an AAT qualified accountant with over 30 years’ experience in the private, public and property sectors.  Catherine joined Whirledge & Nott in 2021. She manages several residential properties and is responsible for the farm accounts for two farm estates.  Catherine lives near Thaxted, and has two grown up daughters.

Maureen Pace

Maureen Pace

Property Accounts Manager

Maureen first joined Whirledge & Nott in 2015 and worked for Nigel Nott.  Maureen left us when Nigel retired but re-joined in 2017 to administer residential, commercial and estate management and rent collections.  

She lives outside Braintree with her husband and loves spending time with her grandsons.
